On Friday Laiken wanted to try going to daycare. He made it from 10:00 on and was in a great mood when I picked him up. I had a friend come visit me from Cheyenne for the afternoon and it was wonderful to have girl time. Addysen got to join us for lunch at Chili's and loved being involved with the "Big Girls." After lunch we came home and enjoyed the afternoon in the backyard just talking. I love days like those and wish I had more of them! Friday evening the kids and I enjoyed dinner and a movie on the couch. I think I could handle this stay at home thing ;). The kids and I were exhausted so were in bed and asleep by the time Kris got home from work.
Saturday morning came and no morning sickness for me, I wasn't going to get too excited because there was no guarantee it was gone, but I loved how the morning went. The kids wanted to do some painting after breakfast so that they did. Then off to the backyard they went for the day. It was a nice day once again and the kids played and played and played some more. They both came in and took naps because they were so worn out. Kris was off by 5 so we got to eat dinner as a family, watched some basketball while the kids showered and got ready for bed then it was movie time.
This morning I woke up and could tell the morning sickness had not disappeared, but it was not like the days prior to yesterday so hopefully they are subsiding. After church Addysen went home with a friend. There has only been one friend other than neighbors she has ever gone to their house for a day and not only was that a big step, but she is attempting to stay the night. I am excited for her and this new adventure, but prepared that staying the night will not happen. She is staying with a really nice, go with the flow family, and that is what Addysen responds best to. She has to ease into things and not have it be in your face do it now kind of thing. It makes me sad that my little girl is growing up so quickly. Laiken and I took advantage of him being the only child and took Kris Runza for lunch. After lunch we picked out some paint samples for the playroom, it's getting so close, and I have so many ideas. Kris decided to buy Laiken a book for being the only child today and Addysen one for being such a big girl and trying something new. Have I ever told you I love his thoughtfulness? After Menards, Laiken and I did some grocery shopping, mostly for his birthday cupcakes. I can't believe my baby boy will be 4 on Wednesday, where did the time go? He has a slight obsession with Angry Birds so sure enough I am making Angry Bird cupcakes for him to take to daycare that day. He is so excited about them! It was amazing to shop with only one child and I was surprised how well behaved he was. He was worn out from the go-go-go of our day and fell asleep before we even got a block away from the grocery store.
Here is to one more day of Spring Break and 13 more school days until Easter break!
One Step at a Time,
Alisha
