So close...

I am getting so impatient for baby K to make his/her appearance. Today marks 36 weeks into our journey to add a new member into our family. I am starting to feel pelvic and lower back pressure almost every time I stand up. I really can't complain too much about being uncomfortable besides my skin feeling like it is stretched to its maximum. This baby has ruined any ideas I may have had to get back into a two piece that is for sure, ugh. I love the thought of having a new baby in our house and that anticipation is a killer. I am really getting sick of all the rude comments people have been making like, "you look like you are going to pop or wow you are really big!" Come on people those are the last things a 36 week pregnant person wants to hear especially in the dead heat of summer. Then there are the opposite kind of people that make me smile by telling me I am beautiful pregnant or that they wish they could be all baby like I am (thank you). This week we go to the doctor on Wednesday for an ultrasound and for my first vaginal check. I would be lying if I said I wasn't expecting to be dilated a tad bit, but that is the impatient anticipation I have going on. I can't wait to see how much baby K has changed and if I still walk away thinking it is a boy. My mom told me today she is leaning towards baby K being a girl which shocked me completely and of course my children are still convinced it is a girl so I guess we will see soon enough. Following this week I have every week covered till my due date, phew. Kris goes on vacation next week, his mom has the following week blocked out on her work calendar, and my mom has the last week of the month  blocked out...what a relief.
This week we started the countdown till the "s words" school starts. Laiken received his welcoming letter in the mail from preschool with his calendar attached. He starts August 20th and is all packed and ready for his big day, wow time flies, can't believe my baby boy will be in an all day preschool program. Addysen starts school August 22nd and we bought all her supplies, new backpack, new shoes, and got some new clothes so she is set although I am not sure she is ready for her summer to end. I am not on a countdown for school to start, but on a countdown for baby K instead. I start on the 16th which I am prepared for, but don't want to put in many more days besides that. The kids and I went into the school yesterday to get some work done which backfired a tad because they were cleaning my carpets so my room was a mess and they did some computer work and forgot to hook my printer back up so I couldn't print anything that I wanted to. so instead I cleaned my desk, put up the calendar, and did some odds and ends so that my sub can find things at least. I am sure I will have to plan another day up there this week to get things in order depending on my doctor visit that is.
This week we spent three days at the pool. My kids of course asked to go everyday, but I had some things I wanted to get done on the days we did not go and they were ok with it. We did go last minute and take family pictures which I think turned out awesome. I need to get the printed and put up before I have to change them again to include our new addition. We didn't take a whole lot of time to accomplish them due to it being around supper time, but we got enough shots to choose from,

To the last few days of summer, Kobza craziness, and the anticipation of baby K.
One Step at a Time,
Alisha
